영혼의 나무 모양들
하늘과 천체사이에서 박은숙의 조형적 이미지는 작가 박은숙의 풍부한 상상력에 따라 항해 한다. 사상의 단위가 미학적 의식이 담긴 점들에 응축된 것처럼 보인다.
Between the sky and the heavenly planets, the arboreal graphics of Park Eun Sook navigate toward her imagination, like modules concentrated thoughts in points of aesthetic consciousness.
작가의 작품을 관조하다 보면 우리는 우주가 팽창하는 모습이고 뇌가 기능하는 한가운데를 관통하는 느낌을 받게 된다. 또한 인간이 갖는 모양 행위와 감정의 표출을 가능하며, 그 환상적이고 마술 같은 두뇌속의 기본신경 단위인 뉴론(neurone)이 연결되어 활발히 활동하는 모습이다.
In contemplating her oeuvre, we seem to penetrate the sentiments of the heart functioning in our brain, to examine the multiple activities of our neurons, and to stablish the fantastic and magical connections. Those permit the gushing of all acts and sentiments of being human.

때로는 하나의 상징적 표기법에 가깝고, 또 어떤 때는 별들과 성운사이에 천체의 구름들을 표상하는 박은숙의 작품은 ‘조형적 튀어 오름’으로 항상 운동중이며 창조 기원의 경계선에 사는 하나의 에너지를 배포한다.
그 에너지를 절대적으로 정의하지 않으면서 표현형식으로 추상을 선택한 것은 여기서 완벽하게 작가의 예술적 영감과 조응하는 선택이다. 이 에너지는 사실상 공간속에서 떠다니는 보이지 않는 힘들과 삼투압을 이루며 즉흥적으로 태어나는 것처럼 보인다.
At times approaching symbolic writing, at other times representing celestial clouds, between starts and clouds, Park Eun Sook’s picturesque splash diffuses perpetual energy in movement, living toward the boundary of the origin of creation.
The choice of abstraction here is totally adequate with her imagination, without being absolutely definite. It seems in effect to be spontaneous, in osmosis with the invisible forces floating in space.

Kandinsky, Paul Clee 같은 예술가들의 작업이 박은숙을 고취시켰던 것 같다. 하지만 작가는 자신의 기원들이 주는 충동과 대단히 개인적인 관점과 함께 재창조 할 줄 알았다. 그렇게 재창조된 것은 위의 위대한 미술 대가들과 나란히 자리를 같이하며 이루어진, 정신의 재현이 담긴 무한이 작은 세계, 우주이다.
The works of the artists Kandinsky or Paul Clee appear to have fascinated Park Eun Sook. however, she has reinvented, with the impelus of her origin vision, the small universe of infinity, to enter the rank of spiritual incarnation of the great masters of panting.

홍익대 미술대학 회화과 및 동 대학원 서양화과를 졸업했다. 선 갤러리, 가나아트스페이스, 인사아트센터, 본 화랑, Everart 갤러리(파리, 프랑스) 등에서 개인전을 20회 가졌다.
