사진작가 고원재(GOH WON JAE) - 오랜 세월 지조와 기품의 소나무

 

 온정

 

  

툭, 투두둑…. 꽃이 솔방울이 된 생명의 역사. 두 개의 솔 씨를, 대지가 품는다. 척박한 땅에서 강하게 살아남아야 소나무라는 이름을 얻는다. 비로써 암벽에 뿌리를 박고 온갖 풍상에도 눈썹 하나 까딱 않는 굵은 혈맥으로 거머쥔 뿌리의 힘. 무엇이 이 솔 씨 하나를 이토록 오랜 세월 지조의 기품으로 이끄는가.

 

The history of life where a flower becomes a pine cone. The land bears the two pine seeds. The pine tree must be strong to survive the barren land. The power of the roots that fixes itself to the rock face and uses its thick veins that does not even blink against the strongest winds and frosts. What leads this small pine seed to such long-lasting grace!

 

 

 

자연과 인간의 애증관계

 

 

어디선가 들려오는 흐르는 물소리. 그렇다. 계곡을 타고 흐르는 저 물, 물이 강이 되어 바다로 흐르며 얼마나 범용(凡庸)한 민초들의 정신들을 위대하게 이끌어 혼(魂)으로 승화시켰던가.

 

The sound of water flowing. That’s right. That water that flows along the valley, it flows to the river and, oh, how it magnificently leads the minds of the common people to greater spirits.

 

온갖 잡티를 태우는 소나무 장작 뜨거운 불. 꼬박 하루 밤낮 철광석을 쇳물로 녹였던 철기문화 제련에 어찌 소나무가 없었으랴. 불과 철(鐵) 그리고 인간은 오묘한 질서에 의해 수련(修鍊)된다.

 

The hot fire of pine wood lumber that can burn away all blemishes. There were always pine trees in smelting the iron culture, which melted iron ores into molten metal for a full day. Fire, iron and humans were trained through a profound and mysterious order.

 

 

 

염원은 꽃으로 피어나고

개인전 3회(ROTATE THE WORLD/인사아트센터, 소나무는 휴머니즘이다/토포하우스, 중국 연변대 초대전) 가졌으며 한, 중 교류전(중국 길림성) 등 다수의 그룹전에 참여했다. 작품집으로 ‘ROTATE THE WORLD’, ‘소나무는 휴머니즘이다’를 발간했다. 작품소장처는 동국제강, 기전산업, 중국 연변대학 등이다.

 

◇Goh Won-jae

He held 3 solo exhibits (ROTATE THE WORLD/Insa Art Center, Pine Tree is Humanism/Topo Haus, Invitation Exhibit at Yanbian Univeristy, China), and also participated in a number of group exhibits such as Korea-China Exchange Exhibits (Jilin, China). His art books include ‘ROTATE THE WORLD’ and ‘Pine Tree is Humanism’. His works are currently located at Dongkuk Steel, Gijeon Industries, and Yanbian University in China.
