HOYA (화가 호야) | Siamese twins-관계의 공생지혜

 

 

 

 

작가 호야 작품은 샴에서 출발했다. 샴 시리즈를 통해 인간과 인간 혹은 인간과 사회의 관계를 샴을 통한 공생의 지혜로 그려 보고자 했다.

 

The works by the artist, B. C. Hoya were born with the idea of Siamese twins. The artist B. C. Hoya made an effort to draw the wisdom of symbiosis in the relation among humans or between human and society through examples of Siamese twins.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

반복되는 변형, 왜곡된 인체를 가진 인간은 작가의 자아이며 인체를 물질적 요소로 파악하여 변형시키며 배경이 되는 이미지의 운율에 적응시켜 융합한다.

 

Hoya implies that repeatedly distorted and deformed bodies are his ego, changes the human bodies considering them as material elements, and fuses the groups of bodies into the background images with rhyme.

   

 

 

 

 

 

'최후의 만찬'에서는 차용한 이미지만을 남기고 식탁이나 배경의 공간의 대부분을 변형된 인간들이 그 자리를 채우고 있다. 이 작품에서 인간의 무리들은 더 이상 인격을 주장하지 않으며 물질로의 변이 즉 다른 물적 요소로 이행하는 단계를 보여주는 작품이다.

 

In 'The last dinner' he left the images of the original paintings and the most space is filled with groups of humanly figures. In this work, groups of humanly figures are like transformed into materials with no arguing their personality. This is the work which is in the middle of the stage when they become different materialistic elements.

 

그의 작품은 자아의 변형과 왜곡을 통한 진정한 초자아를 보여주는 과정일 수 있을 것이다.

 

His works of art could show the process of super-ego through distortion and formation of ego.
